Kagurabachi Chapter 19 Recap
Kagurabachi chapter 19 opens with a disheartened boy mourning the loss of his grasshopper companion, Samurai, and his family members at a cafe. Despite attempting to muster the strength to move forward, he struggles to find motivation.
In a pivotal moment, the boy observes a fierce battle between two men, Genichi Sojo and Chihiro Rokuhira, unfolding outside. Essentially, the chapter presents their initial confrontation from a different perspective.
As the unnamed boy witnesses their clash, he draws a connection between his late pet Samurai and Chihiro, particularly when the protagonist survives Sojo’s lightning attack. The narrative then fast-forwards to November 1, with only seven days remaining until the Rakuzaichi auction.
The same boy, previously seen grieving, emerges as a hero, rescuing a girl from a group of thugs. However, in the process of aiding her escape, he falls prey to the goons. The Yakuza gang takes him to their boss, instructing the members to administer a beating.
To their surprise, the boy attempts sorcery but proves unsuccessful. In a pivotal moment, one of the gang members spots a goldfish outside, signaling Chihiro’s arrival. Subsequently, Chihiro eliminates every gang member except the boss.
The chapter then delves into a flashback between Shiba and Chihiro. Where Shiba discloses that Sojo was merely a puppet manipulated by someone else behind the scenes. Shiba emphasizes the urgency of securing Sinuichi before the auction. Revealing that the Sazanami family has orchestrated the event for two centuries.
Facing difficulty in locating the elusive Sazanami family, Chihiro proposes eliminating their subordinates. Returning to the present, the unnamed boy emotionally breaks down in front of Chihiro, addressing him as a Samurai.
Initially bewildered, Chihiro contemplates fleeing, but he soon discovers that the boy is Hakuri Sazanami. A member of the very Sazanami family he has been seeking.
