The Sand Land anime, made by Akira Toriyama who is famous for Dragon Ball, has a release date now. Fans will be happy to know that six episodes will be released at the same time.
Sand Land seemed like it was made recently, but Akira Toriyama’s comic was actually first released over 20 years ago. The story takes place in a world after a big disaster, and it’s about a group of rebels and people who search for stuff in a Mad Max-inspired journey that shows Toriyama’s special style.
An anime movie about Beelzebub was released in 2023. Based on the success of the movie, the new anime series will have two parts and will include new scenes and ideas that will make the world and story better. It will give viewers a new way to see the story.
Sand Land Starts Streaming on Disney Plus
Sand Land anime is set to make its debut on Disney Plus and Hulu in both the US and the UK on March 20. On this launch day, viewers can enjoy not only the initial episode but also an additional six episodes, totaling seven.
Following the premiere, the subsequent six episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays, providing a total of 13 episodes for Sand Land. This release strategy offers an exciting initial burst, followed by a gradual distribution. The divergence from the film version introduces intriguing variations, raising curiosity about potential story continuations that Akira Toriyama may incorporate.
In a busy year for the mangaka, Toriyama not only presents Sand Land but also revisits Dragon Ball with Dragon Ball Daima, a new sequel to Super. Infused with more humor compared to recent Goku and Z Fighters narratives, the sequel portrays them transforming into child-like versions due to an evil wizard’s intervention.
The prospect of Kid Goku, Kid Vegeta, and other characters battling against evil under Toriyama’s creative helm is anticipated with enthusiasm. With the return of Toriyama to the core creative team, it holds promising prospects. As a Toriyama enthusiast, the anticipation for both Sand Land and Dragon Ball Daima is elevated.
