A few weeks back, Gojo fell victim to an adversary’s deception, finding himself trapped within the Prison Realm. The current pressing query revolves around whether Gojo gets unsealed or regains freedom in anime Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
The narrative in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s Shibuya Incident arc is escalating, reaching a pivotal juncture in the story. As Gojo concludes his battles against malevolent spirits, the series discloses the continued existence of Geto.
Within the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, resurrecting individuals is an infrequent and extraordinary phenomenon. Once life ceases, the prospect of revival is deemed improbable. The storyline unfolds the revelation that Kenjaku, an ancient curses user, has seized control of Geto’s body through the manipulation of cursed energy.
Gojo grapples with profound astonishment and considerable adversity due to this revelation. Kenjaku successfully executes his plan by ensnaring Gojo and confining him within the Prison Realm. For those eager to discern when Gojo will reappear in the anime, staying tuned to the series will provide the answers.
Will Gojo Get Unsealed In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 or Seaon4 Anime?
The process of unsealing Gojo is expected to be a protracted one, rendering him absent from any significant role in Season 2. Gojo’s sealing transpires in chapter 90, and his return only materializes in chapter 221, marking the commencement of his confrontation with Sukuna. Despite the perception among fans that Gojo spends three years sealed inside the Prison Realm, the manga timeline actually spans only 20 days during this period.
Gojo remains conspicuously absent in three story arcs, namely Itadori’s Extermination (7 chapters), Perfect Preparation (15 chapters), and Culling Game (63 chapters). Consequently, the likelihood of Gojo’s reappearance seems plausible in Season 4, considering the considerable gap. While official confirmation is lacking, the standard pacing and episode count in Season 3 do not seem conducive to Gojo’s return.
Adapting the substantial content from the aforementioned 85 chapters in Season 3 appears challenging. Season 1 encapsulates 63 chapters within 24 episodes, while Season 2 covers 74 chapters in 23 episodes. Even if MAPPA attempts to accommodate 85 chapters in Season 3 with additional episodes, the production timeline would extend to at least 3-4 years.
Looking ahead, Season 4 is anticipated in another 3-4 years. By that time, the manga is likely to conclude. Presently, there is insufficient material in the manga for Season 4. Therefore, the unsealing of Gojo in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime is anticipated to span at least 6-8 years.
