Overwatch 2 has unveiled its upcoming collaboration with Cowboy Bebop, set to launch on March 12, offering exciting new skins and other cosmetic items.
Following the much-anticipated clash between Overwatch 2 and One Punch Man last year, fans have been eagerly anticipating details about the next collaboration. The Season 9 trailer concluded with a brief tease, and now, the collaboration with Cowboy Bebop and Overwatch 2 has been officially confirmed.
As part of this collaboration, the in-game experience will feature music from Cowboy Bebop, and players will have the opportunity to unlock a range of new skins where Overwatch 2 characters don outfits resembling characters from the anime.
Regrettably, for support heroes, only DPS and tank heroes will be receiving skins this time. Nevertheless, from the glimpses we’ve seen so far, these skins are truly exceptional.
Cowboy Bebop X Overwatch 2 Skins
In its entirety, there will be a total of five skins featured in this crossover event, comprising four legendary skins and one that players can unlock without any cost.
The Legendary skins include Spike Spiegel Cassidy, Faye Valentine Ashe, Jet Black Mauga, and Ed Sombra.
Players can unlock the Ein Wreckingball skin for free, so it’s advisable to stay tuned for additional details as they emerge. All five skins are scheduled to be unveiled on March 11, a day before the event kicks off.
Aimee Dennett, the Associate Director of Overwatch 2, expressed feeling “honored” to collaborate with Cowboy Bebop and create unique cosmetics inspired by the series.
“This collaboration is a wonderful way to pay homage to the legendary stories, art, animation, and music of the Cowboy Bebop series. We hope its fans and our players have as much fun with what we’re bringing to Overwatch 2 as we did in creating it,” Dennett remarked.
