Kagurabachi Chapter 23 Recap
In Kagurabachi Chapter 23, Kyora assures Chihiro and Shiba that, despite his transformation, he has no intention of engaging in violent conflicts with them. Chihiro instructs Kyora to disclose the location of the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade. Recognizing the pattern on Chihiro’s blade, Kyora realizes he is Rokuhira’s son.
The narrative then shifts to a flashback featuring Shiba, Chihiro, and Hakuri. Hakuri finds their infiltration plan into Shiba and Chihiro’s home intriguing. However, he cautions them about the Tou, the Sazanami Clan’s Special Defense Corp, advising them to be cautious. Hakuri expresses reverence for the Tou but acknowledges their unattainable status.
Returning to the present, we follow Chihiro, Kyora, and Shiba. Kyora suggests that if they desire the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade, they should participate in an auction. When Chihiro attempts to seize the blade, Kyora reveals it to be a preview, projecting images of items in his storehouse using sorcery.
Chihiro brandishes his blade and demands Kyora surrender the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade. Kyora jests about the possibility of Chihiro killing him, hinting that the enchanted blade might be inside his body. He further explains that the storehouse is not tangible, existing as a subspace created through magic. Kyora asserts that only direct descendants of the Sazanami Family hold authority over this space, controlling everything entering and leaving it. He warns that if he perishes, everything within that space will vanish, threatening harm to the residents if Chihiro or Shiba were to harm him.
Given this revelation, Shiba contemplates relying on Hakuri as a potential trump card. Suggesting they depart, Shiba and Chihiro are interrupted by the arrival of three members of the Tou. Kyora inquires about Soya’s whereabouts, with one of the Tou mentioning that Soya is searching for Hakuri. Before witnessing a clash between the two factions, the scene shifts to Hakuri.
